Cohost AI does all the busy work for you, it will produce title suggestions, episode descriptions, chapter markers, social media posts, blog posts, and transcripts. You can expect Cohost AI to give you a great first draft. Sometimes, your Cohost AI transcription will need minimal edits, let's walk through how to use the Cohost AI Transcription Editor!
Pro Tip: When editing your transcript, focus on correcting any people, places, or things that may have had their names misspelled, and do a quick review for any major mistakes. We recommend spending 15 minutes or less editing your transcription.
Using the Cohost AI Transcription Editor
To get started, head to the episode's details page, and click
Edit in the Transcript section on the right side of the page.
Naming Speakers
When you first click
Edit to get into the editor, Cohost AI will prompt you to name the detected speakers. Adding the speaker names will give your transcript more of a personal touch. You can add the speaker's name and role.
Note: If you aren't sure who the speaker is, click the play button to hear an audio sample of that speaker!
Changing a Speaker
If you would like to change the speaker selected for a specific section, you can choose from the speakers that you have already added to your list or add a new speaker. Just click the icon next to the speaker name, and select a new speaker from the dropdown menu.
Find and Replace Tool
This tool allows you to search for a specific word in your transcription, highlight the word each time it shows, and update it everywhere it's shown with one click. This is great if you notice a name that is repeatedly misspelled! Just search for the misspelled name, click Find and Replace, and put in the correct spelling!
Pro Tip: You can replace a specific word one at a time or all at once.
Fixing a Typo
If you see a word or sentence that needs an update, you can simply highlight the word or phrase and hit 'backspace' or 'delete' on your keyboard. Confirm that your cursor is in the correct location and begin typing the correction.
Note: The Cohost AI Transcript editor is not designed to make large changes. We recommend
not copying and pasting sections of text into the transcription or moving large sections of text within the transcription. Stick to small corrections within the text editor itself.
Listen As You Edit
This feature will allow you to listen to your episode and follow the highlighted words as you review your transcript before publishing. Just use the player at the bottom of the page to navigate through the audio.
Once you have finished editing, don't forget to select
Done in the upper right corner. This will save your changes and take you back to your episode page. Remember, you can edit the transcription whenever you need to!
