If you find yourself writing the same information at the end of every episode description, using the footer may be the solution you are looking for. Footers are a quick way to add content to the end of all your episode descriptions. It's a great place to drop links to your social media accounts, mention the people who make the podcast, and link to your favorite review sites.
Setting up your footer
When you create a new episode or edit an existing one, just click the ”Add episode footer” link under the description. You can add up to 500 characters (including hidden characters).
From here you can enter whatever content you like, just keep in mind it will display at the end of your episode description for
all episodes.
When you are finished, save your changes and the updates will be applied to your entire catalog of episodes. Keep in mind, it may take a few hours before the changes show up in podcast directories and listening apps.
To remove a footer, click the “edit” button under the episode description field, then delete the content and click save.
Episode Description Length
Please remember that episode descriptions are limited to 4,000 characters. If the total length of an episode description exceeds 4,000 characters, the main description will be truncated. Footer content will always display in full.
