What is included in the free plan?

When you sign up for Buzzsprout, you'll begin on our free plan! It's a great way to explore the platform, try out features, and see if Buzzsprout is the right home for your podcast. You can upload episodes, see how publishing works, and get familiar with your Buzzsprout dashboard! 

Then, when you're ready to launch your podcast or commit to Buzzsprout as your host, you can upgrade to a paid plan to access additional allowance and features! 

Let's break down the free plan and what you can expect!  

On the free plan, you’ll be able to upload two hours of content each cycle. We’ll host any episodes you upload for 90 days.
 
Because the free plan is designed as a starting point, a few features are limited. On the free plan, you’ll be able to access podcast Stats, Dynamic Content, Chapter Markers, Visual Soundbites, and Buzzsprout Embed Players! To use all Buzzsprout features, you can upgrade to a paid plan by going to Settings > Subscription in your account. 

Moving to Buzzsprout? If you are moving an existing podcast from another host, you can use the free plan to copy in two episodes and preview how your podcast looks in Buzzsprout. Learn more about the process of moving a podcast to Buzzsprout! 

On the free plan, we'll host your episodes for 90 days. Then, 90 days after you upload an episode, it will expire from your account. When this happens, it is removed from your RSS feed and any podcast apps where your show is listed. Listeners will no longer be able to stream or download it.

Note: Don’t worry, expired episodes aren’t deleted right away. We'll keep them in a safety net for another 90 days before permanent removal. This means that you'll want to upgrade to one of our paid plans before your episodes expire. Once you're on a paid plan, the episodes in the safety net will then be available again! All episodes will stay in your account as long as you remain on a paid plan.

You’ll want to upgrade once you’re ready to commit to Buzzsprout as your podcast host or if you want to upload more content than the free plan's two hours.

Moving to a paid plan also allows you to access all Buzzsprout features, including Magic Mastering, Cohost AI, Buzzsprout Transcripts, Buzzsprout Websites, Fan Mail, and monetization; Subscriptions, Listener Support, and Buzzsprout Ads.

When you're ready to upgrade, head to Settings > Subscription > Plan in your account and you'll be able to check out our Plans and Pricing. Click Choose Plan under the one you'd like, add a card on file, and upgrade! 🎉
