Replace an Episode Audio File

Sometimes, you accidentally upload the wrong file, or you need to make edits to your audio. No worries! You can replace an audio file without changing the episode URL, title, description, or statistics.

To replace an episode's audio file:
  1. Click the episode you'd like to update.
  2. Click Edit This Episode. Edit Podcast Audio File1.png
  3. Under the episode player, click Replace audio file. Edit Podcast Audio File2.png
  4. Click Choose a file to upload.
  5. Select the new audio file from your computer.
  6. After the upload is complete, click Go to episode.

When will the changes take place?

You may not see the change happen instantly! It can take a few minutes for the new file to be processed and replace the old file. This typically takes 2-5 minutes. Once the audio file is replaced in your Buzzsprout account, it will automatically update in your listings as soon as they check for podcast updates!

Apple subscribers who already downloaded the original file will not get the new episode unless they manually trigger a new download.

Can I replace a video file?

No, you won't be able to replace a video file. This process will only be for audio episodes.
